Trip Details

Focus: Youth Camp, Community Engagement, Evangelism Join us in Medellín, Colombia, to serve alongside Conectar Global in their mission to disciple and uplift vulnerable youth. Together, we will host a retreat for local youth, many of whom have never been outside of the city or exposed to Bible teachings. We’ll also organize a one-day festival in nearby rural villages, featuring worship, games, and community-building activities. High School students considering this trip should be ready to further their spiritual growth through adventurous cross-cultural experience. This will be OHC’s 5th student mission trip to Colombia.

Through initiatives like Vida Festivals and intensive camps, the organization creates safe spaces where children, youth, and families experience God's unconditional love, fostering hope and spiritual growth. These efforts equip young people to make informed decisions, strengthen family bonds, and build a solid future rooted in faith and community. 

Trip Highlights:

  • Host a 3-day sports and VBS camp for youth ages 12-18.
  • Organize an evangelistic festival with games, worship, and fun activities.
  • Build relationships through sports, small groups, arts and crafts, drama, and Bible teaching.
  • Explore the beauty of Colombia during a sightseeing rest day. 

What’s Included

The $2,400 cost includes airfare, meals, lodging, in-country transportation, travel insurance, and all ministry related supplies and costs. Note: sightseeing activities and souvenirs are at your own expense. 

Fundraising

When considering the cost of the trip, we encourage all participants to fundraise to make this mission possible. Oak Hills Church will provide a fundraising platform and guidance on effective ways to raise support. Together, we’ll make it happen! 

Preparation Meetings 

There will be 4 team meetings to prepare you for cross cultural missions. Attendance at a minimum of three team meetings is required, focusing on team unity, cultural insights, and trip preparation.
