About the Series - Think About What You Think About

God changes our life by changing the way in which we think. More specifically, he renews our mind. He retrains our brains. He reroutes our thought patterns. He rewires our synaptic circuitry. He creates a new way of thinking. Is this not a thrilling possibility? Those thoughts? God will help you control them! Could there be a greater topic to discuss? Could there be a greater time to discuss it?

Our society’s mental health is in a state of crisis. The numbers are staggering. In 2021, 42% of high school students “experienced persistent feelings of sadness of hopelessness.” And 22% “seriously considered attempting suicide. The health of adults is gloomy as well. In 2021 two in five American adults reported symptoms of anxiety and depression.[1]

The implications of our mental struggles are enormous. People with depression are 40% more likely to have cardiovascular issues. Of those who struggle with mental health, one third experience substance abuse. Students with mental concerns are three times as likely to repeat a grade and twice as likely to drop out of school.[2]

This research creates a consistent headline: our minds matter.
