Meet Our Missionaries

Gui and Lorena are Brazilian missionaries living and serving in Coventry, England. Their mission is to share the gospel, disciple people from various backgrounds, and equip others to serve. Coventry is a vibrant and multicultural city, and they are passionate about building bridges across cultures, offering practical support to those in need, and making Christ known in every corner of our community.  

Ministry Work

Since 2018, God has been moving powerfully in Coventry, England. The work has focused on establishing and nurturing a missionary base, planting churches, and building relationships with communities across the city. They helped establish YWAM Coventry, which has grown from just three staff members to 12. They now run a Discipleship Training School focused on reaching unreached people groups with oral traditions, using storytelling instead of traditional lectures. Gui and Lorena have contributed to planting two Church of England congregations and a church specifically for refugees. Currently, they pastor Mosaic Church, where they have two campuses and a third will launch by Easter, 2025. Mosaic Church hosts 50 refugee families, and God brings hope and transformation to many who have faced unimaginable challenges. The ministry also hosts outreach teams and collaborates with other churches to spread the gospel. 

Prayer Requests

• The Schott family recently qualified for a fertility program, and is praying that this year God will bless us with the wonderful news of a child.
• They will be stepping back from YWAM leadership in March and raising up new leaders. Please pray for wisdom as they select the right individuals to carry the vision forward.  
• Pray for the current Discipleship Training School (the first time this specific program has been run in Europe), the upcoming church plant.
